Abstract
The UNLV Engelstad Scholars Program utilizes a monthly cohort-based meeting structure to foster professional and personal development among its approximately 100 scholars. Led by Graduate Mentors, these sessions provide a consistent, structured space for community building, networking, and critical reflection. By incorporating diverse, curated programming (ranging from professional development and guest speakers to stress-management workshops and peer-led activities), the practice cultivates essential competencies. These include emotional intelligence, accountability, and interpersonal communication, ultimately enhancing scholars' holistic career readiness and well-being.
