Abstract
Brazil is a full member of FATF and GAFILAT and takes part of the Global Network for preventing and combatting money laundering and financing of terrorism and proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. In this context, Brazil is committed to comply with the international AML/CFT standards. On the other hand, the vulnerability of gambling sector for money laundering and terrorist financing is recognized by the international community. However, there remained a lack of recent global identification of ML/TF threats on this sector. This study will deal with vulnerabilities in domestic implementation of AML/CFT measures and discuss several policy implications.
