Abstract
There is currently a gap between AI adoption and regulatory awareness. Operators are deploying increasingly complex systems, while regulators often lack standardized reporting measures to educate governance initiatives. The paper presentation would serve as a introduction to an ongoing research project dedicated to iteratively developing an AI registry that tracks use cases across the gaming industry to inform stakeholders and regulators alike about the usage and application of the technology across the sector. The registry itself wouldn't be a governance tool, but more so a data collection framework to then inform future regulatory initiatives. More than providing a broad description of the different phases of the research project, the presentation would delve into the results and conclusions drawn from various focus groups collected to gather feedback about the first iteration of the registry, that would then inform its second version.
